  • Adrienne Carlson (She/Her)

    MS, PT, DPT, Team Lead

I am Adrienne Carlson, MS, PT, DPT, and I received a Master of Science in Exercise and Sport Psychology from the University of Montana and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Eastern Washington University. My background spans chronic pain, post-surgical, and sports rehabilitation, but I am particularly passionate about pelvic floor and pelvic health. I specialize in treating a broad spectrum of conditions, including urinary and fecal incontinence, overactive bladder, urinary urgency and frequency, constipation, pelvic pain, endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, pre and postpartum care, and surgery recovery.

Currently, I serve as an adjunct professor at Pacific University and National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM). I am dedicated to educating future generations of healthcare professionals, especially in the field of pelvic floor care. As an Outcare affirming provider, I am committed to offering inclusive and affirming care to all individuals, regardless of gender identity or expression.

With a compassionate and skilled approach, I tailor treatment plans to each individual's needs, integrating a variety of techniques, including manual therapy, strength training with an emphasis on proper body mechanics and posture, and regulation of the autonomic nervous system. By combining these approaches, I strive to optimize patient outcomes and enhance overall well-being.

In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, backpacking, snowboarding, and running with my husband and daughter. These pursuits not only foster my love for nature but also underscore my commitment to leading an active and balanced lifestyle.

  • Laura Perri (She/Her)

    PT, DPT, Clinical Manager

Hello! I'm Laura Perri, DPT, and I am very excited to join the team here at Vibrancy Pelvic Health. I grew up in New York where I received my bachelor's degree in Integrative Neuroscience, and went on to receive my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Since then I have taken numerous continuing education courses through Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, through which I have strengthened my skills in assessing and treating pelvic floor dysfunction.

My primary goal is to create a safe and comfortable environment where patients can openly discuss their concerns. I have experience working with individuals of all genders and addressing a wide range of pelvic floor conditions. I believe in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms, and I seek to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual's unique needs. I look forward to being able to work with you to achieve your pelvic health goals!

  • Elvie Howard (She/Her)

    MOT, OTR/L

Hey y’all! I’m Elvie Howard, a passionate pelvic floor occupational therapist bringing a bit of Kentucky charm to Portland, and to Vibrancy. I have a Masters in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Kentucky University, my journey has been one of learning, growth, and an eager pursuit of helping individuals attain holistic wellness.

My work centers around fostering a safe and inclusive environment where individuals can embark on their healing journey with comfort and confidence. As a member of the LGBTQ community, I’m particularly excited about providing a caring space for queer clients. It’s my firm belief that empowerment and growth flourish best in an atmosphere of empathy and understanding.

Beyond the clinic’s walls, you’ll find me cozied up in warm, inviting spaces crocheting, or out in the world, embracing the joys of bike-packing and indoor rock climbing. So, let’s connect and work together to devise a plan that best supports your pelvic floor, ensuring safety and ease in your favorite activities!

  • Andrea Gomez

    PT, DPT

Hi! My name is Andrea. A native Texan, I earned my undergrad degree in English Literature and Secondary Education from Rice University back before I knew what I wanted to be when I “grew up.” In the stress of my first year of teaching, I discovered yoga and became fascinated with the use of intentional movement and breath for healing. Thus began my journey of teaching yoga as I worked my way towards becoming a physical therapist. I graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Montana and have been practicing since 2019.

I began my career in orthopedics before delivering my twins. When I started my own postpartum healing, I discovered the world of pelvic floor rehab. Every year that I work in this specialty, my excitement for it grows as it allows me to synthesize different parts of me: the reader of stories, the teacher, the yogi, and the anatomy buff. I love what I do, and it never ceases to remind me that we are complex and multifaceted creatures.

I believe in the worth and dignity of every person and strive to provide respectful, trauma informed care to people from all backgrounds, beliefs, gender identities, and sexual orientations. Coming to pelvic floor therapy is a big step for many, and I prioritize meeting people where they are and creating a safe space to learn.

I have done extensive coursework in pelvic floor rehabilitation and am a forever student, continually growing my toolbox and perspectives. I am bilingual in English and Spanish. I treat a wide range of pelvic floor and core dysfunctions, and my background in orthopedics informs my practice, making me comfortable venturing out of pelvic floor focused care to treat other body parts when appropriate. Afterall, everything is connected.

In my “free time,” I can be found chasing my very rambunctious kids around with my wonderful husband, reading novels while cuddling my dog, and dreaming about international travel. When my kids get a little older, I am excited to actually do more international travel and to go back to learning to dance tango!

  • Taylor Kong (She/Her)

    PT, DPT

Aloha! I’m Taylor Kong, a pelvic physical therapist from Honolulu, Hawaii. I originally moved to the Pacific Northwest to attend University of Oregon, where I studied Human Physiology. From then, I went on to pursue my physical therapy education at Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA. My love for the PNW drew me back to Portland and am happy to call this place my second home!

With pelvic health, I’ve completed education through the APTA and Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute. I am incredibly passionate about improving awareness regarding the treatment of pelvic floor conditions, helping men and women across the age spectrum. In the future, I plan to further my education by becoming a board-certified Women’s Health Clinical Specialist.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy paddle boarding, hiking, and spending time with my corgi, Chester. I also spend time mentoring Doctor of Physical Therapy and pre-physical therapy students to help them reach their academic and professional goals.

  • Eryn

    Eryn Kirschbaum (She/Her)

    PT, DPT, PRPC

I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon in 2006 (Go Ducks!) and my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Pacific University in 2014. Since that time I have sought significant education in all things pelvic health, including becoming board certified through Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute in 2016. I have dedicated my career to learning the intricacies of the pelvis and core system, as well as how they interrelate to our entire body. It is true when people say, “everything is connected”!

I believe that all people should have access to high quality pelvic healthcare. The pelvic floor and core system are our foundation from which everything stems, and when something is awry, can lead to significant reduction in quality of life. It is my goal to figure out “the why” behind the issue, and to address the root of the problem. Conditions I often treat include urinary incontinence, urinary urgency/frequency, interstitial cystitis, pelvic pain, chronic male pelvic pain, prolapse, pain with intercourse, postpartum core rehabilitation including diastasis rectus abdominis (DRA), C-section recovery, post-surgical rehab, endometriosis, coccyx pain, constipation, low back pain, and hip pain. Within many of these conditions is the underlying knowledge that our nervous system plays a huge role, and addressing this, in addition to the musculoskeletal component, is crucial for true healing.

I am a proud native Portlander and outside of work love to continue to explore my city. My fiancé and I love to go for long walks, explore new coffee shops, e-bike around town, and head out to wine country or the beach on nice summer days. I am also very passionate about yoga and have been practicing for nearly 20 years and find this highly influences my treatment approach. Prior to my physical therapy career, I served in the United States Peace Corps in Ukraine from 2007-2009, where I was able to explore the world, giving me time to reflect and come to the realization that physical therapy was my true calling. I look forward to being able to help as many people as possible throughout my career to achieve optimal pelvic health!

  • Valerie Brown (She/Her)

    PT, DPT, PYT, FNTP

I’m Valerie Brown, DPT, and I am a board-certified Doctor of Physical Therapy with advanced training in yoga therapy, functional nutrition, vibroacoustic sound therapy, and trauma-informed pelvic care. My work is rooted in helping people reconnect with their bodies in a way that restores ease, trust, and a sense of wholeness—physically, emotionally, and energetically.

My commitment to integrative, whole-person care began during my doctoral training at the University of California, San Francisco, where I studied how imagery, awareness, and the mind-body connection influence chronic pain and healing outcomes. During this time, I also served as Director of the Integrative Medicine Network, witnessing firsthand how collaborative, multidisciplinary care can transform the healing experience.

With a foundation in Integrative Physiology, neuroscience, and public health, I specialize in making complex nervous system and pain science practical—translating research into clear tools that empower people to understand and support their own healing process.

Over the years, I’ve worked with many individuals who have felt unheard, dismissed, or gaslit in healthcare settings. Supporting them is at the heart of my work. This led me to develop The Embodied Intelligence Method™, a neuro-somatic framework that cultivates deep body awareness, safety, and resilience—supporting healing not just at the level of symptoms, but at the level of the whole self.

I am honored to be part of Vibrancy Pelvic Health, where we believe your body is wise, your story matters, and your healing deserves care that is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence and embodiment.

  • Caitlin Capistran Myers (She/Her)

    PT, DPT

Hi, I’m Caitlin Capistran Myers, and I’m happy to be a part of Vibrancy!

Originally from the East Coast, I earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Quinnipiac University in 2011. As a PT, I specialize in manual therapy and visceral mobilization, using hands-on techniques to help restore mobility, ease discomfort, and support the body’s natural healing. I’m trained in Mercier Therapy, a targeted treatment for the pelvis and pelvic organs that is designed to support fertility, promote C-section recovery, and ease pelvic pain and painful periods including pain associated with endometriosis.

As a life-long learner and extrovert by nature, I love learning alongside others in a classroom setting. In addition to pursuing lots of continuing education myself, I have had the privilege of teaching graduate DPT students at Quinnipiac University and teaching anatomy and physiology to undergraduate students at the University of Portland.

I’ve been in Portland for over a decade, where I’ve put down roots and am raising three awesome kids (including a set of twins!) with my wonderful husband.

  • Melody Pfeiffer (She/Her)

    OTD, OTR/L, RYT-500

Hi! I’m Melody Ann Pfeiffer. I am a passionate pelvic floor occupational therapist and yoga therapist. I weave in my holistic practices into everything I do as a PFT. I believe everything is connected so everything is going to be considered when we are working together.

My journey as a PFT began after I gave birth to my first daughter, though I trained in yoga therapy 20 years ago with an interest in perinatal and pelvic floor dysfunction. When I became pregnant, the pelvic floor came into full view. As I started to learn more about pregnancy and birth, I began to understand how vital it is to our functioning, my future pregnancies, and total health.

I strive to make my clients feel seen, heard and comfortable. My years of training in yoga, breathwork, polyvagal regulation, and other mindfulness practices influence how I treat. I have experience and a passion for treating birthing parents through their perinatal journey (prenatal, birth and postpartum) as I have facilitated countless postpartum support groups; I created a uniquely OT postpartum support program for birthing parents guided by a social justice approach. I also treat all genders and strongly believe that it’s important to create inclusive spaces and language for all clients. Trauma-informed and client-centered care is at the root of everything I do as as a pelvic floor therapist.

When I am not at the clinic, I am on the joy journey which is life. I am doing yoga, teaching yoga, hanging out in nature with my cute kiddos and husband, traveling, reading, snowboarding, dancing, swimming, and all things food-related (cooking it, eating it, reading about it).

As an occupational therapist, my mission is to help clients get back to what they love, and to learn the skills to maintain daily lifestyle habits to live an healthy, empowered life with a deeper connection to body, mind, and spirit. As a lifelong athlete and aerialist, I am passionate in developing customized fitness programs for each individual to regain functional strength and increase body awareness.

My mission with Vibrancy is to make as many people aware of the benefits of pelvic floor therapy and make this care accessible to all. I mentor and train clinicians to be as skilled as possible at treating the most complex cases.
